ASW Consulting held its Premiere Networking Event last 2nd November at the prestigious Sofitel Saigon Plaza. The event kicked off with opening remarks from Joe Fussell, CEO of ASW Global and ASW Consulting. He touched upon the roots of ASW and the re-branding of its subsidiary The Talent Consultants to its current corporate identity of ASW Consulting.

Joe then gave a glowing introduction to the event’s keynote speaker Thái Vân Linh, who is well known for her investor role as “Shark Linh” on the popular television show Shark Tank Vietnam. Ms. Linh is the CEO of Skills Bridge, a consulting company focused on skills-gap training and development as well as branding and marketing services. She is also a Senior Advisor of Openspace Ventures.

As a seasoned leader with over 23 years of experience in finance, marketing, and operations, Linh has helped people to unlock their full potential by providing the tools and the inspiration to do so. Her talk on “Thriving as a Modern Leader” was a highly informative discussion about the new approaches to develop the essential skills required for modern leadership. She also gave advice on how to adapt the proper mindset to become a modern leader.

Additionally, Linh shared interesting tips on how to do a proper handshake and its lasting impact in professional interactions. This was a highly engaging activity as the attendees “re-learned” how to shake hands and get feedback amongst themselves.

Overall, the event was a great opportunity for senior managers and HR professionals in Vietnam’s business community to expand their networks for further collaboration. The response has been overwhelmingly positive as attendees gained not only new connections but also invaluable insights on the evolving landscape of leadership.
